<description>I&#039;ll put reading your blog on my Gratitude in &#039;08 list! Sean, reading through the pages made me feel as if I&#039;d just been conversing with you, which is always a treat. Reading a list of things one is grateful for is always inspiring and coming from the seemingly staid world at my art gallery of STILL pictures I found a film of movies and their makers running up in my mind as I read your inspirations. I felt the need to throw Michelangelo Antonioni’s name into the discussion if only for my own indulgence and satisfaction in thanking him - with your decriptions I kept reflecting on what I love about him. New Year’s Day my honey, Christopher and I watched L’Avventura once again. Nothing like the stark reality of the inevitable distance between humans to bring a couple celebrating the New Year together! A yes, I remember it well (Maurice, you said it!). From what little I seem to know of myself, my adoration of Antonioni would seem to be the perfect tool I could use to describe me, but how would Botticelli fit – my God, my beloved, the greatest artist who ever lived. I suppose for the world these Italian geniuses created – in celebration or appreciation of the Feminine POV. But I digress… In appreciation of a man, too – You! I’m enjoying the blog so much. Reading other’s thoughts about art just gets me so pumped. Which is great since the art gallery is going to take a lot of energy today. The trees may be dormant around here right now, but artists – it seems – never slow down! Glad to read about your paces, too. Until the next posts….Auguri!
